2+ years of CNC machining experience
Position Overview We are looking for an experienced CNC Machinist to join our team in Macomb, MI. The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of hands-on machining experience and is comfortable setting up and operating CNC equipment, making machine adjustments, and performing tool changes.
This is a great opportunity for a skilled machinist who takes pride in producing quality parts, troubleshooting machining issues, and working efficiently in a production environment.
Responsibilities Set up and operate CNC machining equipment.
Perform machine setups, adjustments, and tool changes.
Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality and dimensional requirements.
Make in-process adjustments to maintain part quality and consistency.
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and machining specifications.
Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
Monitor tooling and replace tools as needed.
Troubleshoot machining and tooling issues.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
Follow established safety and quality procedures.
Work effectively as part of a team while maintaining productivity and quality standards.
Qualifications
Required:
At least 2+ years of CNC machining experience.
Experience with CNC machine setups, adjustments, and tool changes.
Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings/blueprints.
Ability to use standard precision measuring equipment.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.
Ability to work 45–55 hours per week on first shift.
Preferred / Bonus
Experience:
Ability to read and edit G-code and M-code.
Experience in the tool and die industry.
Experience with complex or tight-tolerance machining.
Experience troubleshooting CNC programs, tooling, and machining processes.
What We’re Looking For
The right candidate is a dependable, hands-on machinist who can work independently, solve problems, and consistently produce quality work. While G-code/M-code editing and tool-and-die experience are not required, candidates with these skills will be given strong consideration.
