University Home Care Inc is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Hospice Registered Nurse to join our team in Westland, MI. This role involves providing expert nursing care and support to patients and their families during end-of-life care, ensuring comfort and dignity through every stage of the hospice process.
Responsibilities- Provide skilled nursing care and assessment to hospice patients in their homes.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Educate patients and family members on care techniques, symptom management, and disease progression.
- Document all nursing care and patient observations accurately and thoroughly.
- Participate in regular team meetings and professional development sessions.
- Advocate for patient needs and coordinate care with other health professionals and hospice staff.
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Michigan.
- Minimum of 1 year nursing experience, preferably in hospice, palliative care, or home health.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and make sound clinical decisions.
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license for home visits.
- Competitive hourly wage of $37.00 – $45.00 for full time, Part time paid per visit,paid twice a month.
