Transitioning to a 12-hour rotating 2-2-3 schedule within approximately six months, with First Shift and Third Shift options available

Full-Time | Direct Hire About the Opportunity We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join a leading manufacturer in the fiber-based packaging industry in Mason, MI. This direct-hire opportunity is ideal for an experienced maintenance professional looking to join a stable, team-focused manufacturing environment where their skills will directly impact equipment reliability, production efficiency, and overall operations.
What You'll Do Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment to maximize uptime
Respond quickly to equipment issues and perform corrective maintenance to minimize downtime
Complete scheduled preventative maintenance activities and identify opportunities for improvement
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and basic electrical systems
Utilize CMMS software to document maintenance activities, repairs, and work orders
Support equipment installations, upgrades, and continuous improvement projects
Collaborate with Production, Engineering, and Quality teams to improve equipment performance
Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment
What We're Looking For High school diploma or GED required; technical training, certification, or related coursework preferred2+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair abilities
Experience working with industrial machinery and production equipment
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and maintenance manuals
Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to maintenance
