Position Overview

The Outpatient Therapist delivers clinical services to individuals with SMI, SED, and/or I/DD. Responsibilities include managing a caseload, providing therapy, ensuring documentation compliance, and collaborating with referral sources.

Persons with lived experience in mental illness, developmental disabilities, or substance use disorders are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and treat adults and children using DSM-5 criteria
• Provide individual and group therapy
• Participate in crisis intervention and emergency on-call rotation
• Determine eligibility for agency services
• Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic health record
• Collaborate with community partners and interagency teams

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) or Counseling
• Michigan licensure: LMSW, LLMSW, LPC, or LLPC (full license preferred)
• CADC or CAADC certification preferred
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work flexible hours and travel within service area
• Valid Michigan driver’s license, vehicle insurance, and satisfactory driving record

Additional Requirements

• Participation in after-hours emergency services on-call rotation
• Pre-employment background check (criminal, driving, education, employment)
• U.S. citizenship or legal authorization to work in the U.S.
