Location:
Westland, Michigan
Schedule: 3pm - 11:30pm ~ every other weekend
Pay: $19.00 per hour

In this role, you’ll provide direct support to families navigating challenging life situations. From assisting with daily living needs to de‑escalating difficult moments, you’ll be a steady, compassionate presence for individuals working toward stability and independence.

What You’ll DoDirect Care & Resident Support
- Assist families with daily living activities based on individual service plans
- Support residents with hygiene, meals, and maintaining a safe, clean‑living space
- Prepare rooms for new residents and help maintain a welcoming environment
Monitoring & Safety
- Observe and document resident behavior and daily activity
- Respond to and help de‑escalate challenging situations
- Report incidents and concerns to leadership in a timely manner
Medication & Documentation
- Assist with medication administration in accordance with policies
- Maintain accurate documentation of services, activities, and observations
Intake & Resource Support
- Assist with intake processes, including phone and walk‑in inquiries
- Connect individuals to community resources and support services
Housekeeping & Facility Support
- Perform light housekeeping duties, including cleaning resident rooms and shared spaces
- Support kitchen operations, including meal prep and cleanup
Team Support
- Serve as a mentor to new staff and assist with onboarding and training
- Collaborate with team members to ensure quality care and program success
- Training or coursework in Social Work, Human Services, or related field preferred
- At least 1 year of experience in direct care, residential services, or community‑based programs preferred
- Ability to adapt to an ever‑changing environment with professionalism and compassion
- Strong communication, observation, and problem‑solving skills
- Commitment to treating all individuals with dignity and respect
- Must obtain and maintain Food Handler’s Basic Certification
- Ability to work assigned afternoon/evening shifts and weekend schedule
You’ll be a consistent source of support for individuals during times of uncertainty—helping create stability, safety, and a sense of belonging when it’s needed most.
