Qualifications:
- BA/BS Degree in Social Work or Human Services related field (required).
- Certified or licensed as a counselor or social worker (preferred).
- Experience with school-aged youth.
- Background/experience in Advocacy and Student Support (preferred).
- Such other qualifications as may be identified.
Sample Duties:
- Identify at-risk students.
- Develop individual and small group sessions for academic intervention and discipline prevention.
- Develop and monitor behavior/success plans.
- Monitor student attendance, discipline, and academic progress.
- Meet with parents and staff regarding intervention plans and progress.
- Work to develop school/community partnerships with outside organizations that support at-risk youth.
- Work with and enhance existing mentoring program for at-risk youth at school.
- Referrals to appropriate district personnel or outside agency, as necessary.
- Other duties may be assigned by the building principal.
This assignment will be filled for the 2026/2027 school year. Continuation of the position will be contingent on the availability of future grant funding.
