Job Description

Qualifications:

• Active licensure as a Social Worker in the state of Michigan
• Experience working in a school environment or with children/adolescents
• Familiarity with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and behavioral plans is a plus
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work collaboratively with educators, counselors, families, and outside agencies

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct counseling and support services to students facing social, behavioral, or emotional challenges
• Develop and implement individualized intervention plans in partnership with staff and families
• Lead or assist with crisis intervention, conflict resolution, and prevention programs
• Participate in IEP meetings and assist in the creation of behavioral objectives
• Maintain accurate records in compliance with school and legal guidelines
• Foster a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment for all students
