At BF Construction Inc we’re raising the bar.
We’re looking for a high-level commercial construction Project Manager who knows how to take a job from concept to closeout and get it done right. Someone who has led complex projects, managed difficult trades, solved problems before they hit the field, and understands how to build work the right way from day one.
This is not an entry-level or coordinator role. We want a builder and operator — someone who can fully own the project lifecycle, create structure before work begins, and lead jobs through completion without constant oversight.
Our PMs are not paper pushers. You build the project before crews ever step on site. That means creating real schedules, sequencing trades correctly, identifying conflicts early, managing field execution, and keeping every moving part aligned from preconstruction through final turnover.
You’ll split time between the field and office. In the field, you verify quality, readiness, production, and accountability. In the office, you drive planning, coordination, procurement, budgets, documentation, and execution strategy.
THE ROLE AT A GLANCE
Lead projects from preconstruction through final closeout
Multi-site commercial construction projects
Travel required
Above-market compensation based on experience and capability
High ownership, high accountability role
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout
Build and actively manage detailed project schedules across all phases
Sequence and stack trades correctly to maintain workflow and avoid downtime
Identify conflicts, missing scope, and constructability issues before work begins
Conduct regular site visits to verify quality, safety, production, and readiness for upcoming phases
Review complete construction documents and fully understand project scope prior to execution
Lead subcontractor bidding, leveling, and scope definition
Procure materials and coordinate long-lead items proactively
Manage budgets, forecasting, cost controls, and project financial performance
Coordinate field crews, subcontractors, vendors, architects, engineers, inspectors, and clients
Lead preconstruction meetings and site readiness planning
Manage RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, change orders, and design coordination
Ensure all scope changes are documented, priced, approved, and tracked properly
Review drafting markups and construction documentation for accuracy and constructability
Deliver organized, complete project closeout packages
Maintain project momentum while solving problems quickly and decisively
WHAT YOU BRING
Strong commercial construction background with deep understanding across multiple trades
Proven ability to independently run projects from start to finish
Experience building and maintaining real-world construction schedules
Ability to think ahead, identify issues early, and prevent field disruption
Strong field presence and leadership skills
High attention to detail — scope gaps, plan conflicts, and coordination issues do not slip past you
Experience managing multiple active projects and competing priorities
Clear, direct communication with crews, clients, subcontractors, and leadership
Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and construction documents confidently
Strong understanding of sequencing, logistics, constructability, and execution planning
Ability to hold subcontractors accountable while maintaining productive relationships
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
Projects are fully planned before work begins
Trades move efficiently and in the correct sequence
Schedules reflect actual field conditions and stay proactive
Crews arrive to work that is ready for them
Problems are identified and solved before becoming delays
Change orders are documented before disputes arise
Jobs stay organized, clean, and moving
Clients and leadership trust the process because the PM owns the outcome
