Commercial Construction Superintendent
Are you a hands‑on construction leader who knows how to keep projects organized, trades moving, and jobs running efficiently?
BF Construction is seeking a Commercial Construction Superintendent to oversee field operations on commercial construction projects from start to finish. Our work includes tenant improvements, office buildouts, industrial projects, concrete site work, exterior renovations, and specialty commercial construction throughout Southern California.
We are looking for someone who understands how construction gets built in the field—not someone who manages from a distance. The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, detail‑oriented, and capable of coordinating subcontractors, maintaining quality standards, and driving project schedules.

- Manage daily field operations on commercial construction projects
- Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, inspections, and deliveries
- Maintain project schedules and short‑term look‑ahead planning
- Ensure trades are properly sequenced and work areas are ready for upcoming activities
- Conduct daily site walks to verify quality, safety, and progress
- Review plans, specifications, and project requirements to ensure compliance
- Identify and resolve field issues before they impact schedule or quality
- Coordinate directly with Project Managers, clients, architects, inspectors, and subcontractors
- Document daily progress through reports, photos, and field updates
- Maintain clean, safe, and organized jobsites
- Ensure all work is completed according to plans, specifications, and company standards
- 3+ years of experience as a Commercial Construction Superintendent, Foreman, or similar field leadership role
- Strong knowledge of commercial construction methods and trade sequencing
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Experience coordinating multiple trades and subcontractors
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to solve problems quickly and keep projects moving forward
- Understanding of OSHA requirements and jobsite safety practices
- Comfortable using technology for plans, photos, reports, and communication
- Trades arrive to work that is ready for them
- Projects stay organized and on schedule
- Quality issues are identified and corrected early
- Subcontractors are coordinated and productive
- Clients and project teams have confidence in field leadership
- Jobs are completed safely, efficiently, and with attention to detail
