Staff Accountant

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to support key accounting operations for a Contract position based in Westminster, Colorado. This role will contribute to day-to-day financial accuracy by handling accounts payable, in-house payroll activities, and month-end accounting tasks. The ideal candidate brings a strong grasp of general ledger processes, journal entry preparation, and account reconciliations, along with at least 2 years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities:

- Process vendor invoices and payment activity accurately while maintaining organized accounts payable records.

- Support in-house payroll administration by reviewing payroll data, helping ensure timely and accurate employee payments.

- Prepare and post journal entries as part of regular accounting operations and month-end close activities.

- Reconcile balance sheet and other general ledger accounts to confirm completeness and accuracy.

- Assist with month-end close by reviewing financial data and resolving discrepancies in a timely manner.

- Maintain accurate accounting documentation and help ensure transactions are recorded in accordance with company procedures.

- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to address payment, payroll, and reconciliation questions as they arise. Requirements

- 1 + years of healthcare experience

2+ years of accounting experience in a staff accountant or similar role

- Hands-on experience with accounts payable processing and invoice management.

- Working knowledge of in-house payroll administration and related accounting entries.

- Experience preparing journal entries and supporting month-end close activities.

- Familiarity with general ledger maintenance and account reconciliation procedures.

- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

- Proficiency in standard accounting systems and spreadsheet tools.
