We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Accounting Manager to oversee daily accounting operations, with significant responsibility for Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and the month-end close process. This role will ensure accurate financial reporting, maintain strong internal controls, lead and develop accounting staff, and drive process improvement initiatives across the accounting function. The ideal candidate is a collaborative leader with strong technical accounting expertise, analytical skills, and a continuous improvement mindset.

Key Responsibilities
Accounting Operations
+ Oversee day-to-day accounting activities, including Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
+ Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
+ Review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
+ Maintain the general ledger and oversee accruals, prepaids, fixed assets, and other balance sheet accounts.
+ Monitor cash flow, working capital, collections, and vendor payment activity.
+ Analyze financial results and provide meaningful insights on trends, variances, and business performance.
+ Lead, mentor, and develop accounting team members while fostering accountability and professional growth.
+ Partner with cross-functional departments to ensure financial accuracy and resolve operational issues.
+ Enhance accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to improve efficiency and compliance.
+ Support ERP system enhancements, automation initiatives, and process improvement projects.
Financial Reporting & Compliance
+ Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and supporting schedules.
+ Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal policies, and applicable regulatory requirements.
+ Coordinate internal and external audit activities, including documentation and audit support.
+ Partner with finance leadership to strengthen reporting processes and operational effectiveness.
+ Assist with tax compliance, reporting requirements, and other regulatory filings.
+ Monitor accounting standard updates and support implementation of new guidance when required.
Requirements
+ Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA designation or progress toward certification preferred.
+ 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership or supervisory responsibilities.
+ Strong knowledge of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and general accounting operations.
+ Experience in manufacturing, healthcare, medical device, or other product-based industries is preferred.
+ Solid understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.
+ Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including financial analysis and complex reporting.
+ Experience working with ERP systems and financial reporting platforms.
+ Inventory and cost accounting experience is a plus.
+ Strong analytical, organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
+ Excellent communication abilities with experience collaborating across multiple departments.
+ Demonstrated success managing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
+
Experience with process improvements, system implementations, and automation initiatives is highly desirable.
