Job Overview
Probate Clerk position at Supreme Court – Agency 5, Fremont, NE. Salary range $38,257.13 - $46,612.56. This position does not sponsor STEM (form i‑983) or non‑immigrant work visas. Responsibilities include reviewing electronic filings, managing case information, monitoring case progress, preparing notices and correspondences, and performing general clerical duties. The role requires exceptional attention to detail and compliance with probate court procedures.
Responsibilities- Provide customer service to internal and external customers, answering phones and greeting visitors.
- Review and accept electronic and over‑the‑counter filings for permanent record.
- Collect fees and payments, process mail, and handle other correspondence.
- Enter information into court databases and other computerized systems to maintain records.
- Monitor case progression and ensure timeline compliance.
- Prepare notices, correspondences, and other documents for probate hearings as instructed.
- Perform duties of a similar nature or level as needed.
- Associate degree in a related field or high school diploma/GED combined with 4 years of related experience.
- Knowledge of customer service principles, computer applications, and probate court functions.
- Skills in data entry, record maintenance, operating standard office equipment, reviewing reports for accuracy, and effective communication.
- Physical ability to perform primarily sedentary work and lift up to 20 lbs.
