About the RoleThis role will support our Diabetes Separation Management Office (SMO) in the post-IPO execution of Transition Service Agreements (TSAs) exit plans to achieve full business independence globally. This is a high-impact, high-visibility role for individuals interested in post-IPO operationalization of a Split Co business.
We are looking for a team member to sit in the co-pilot seat with our Sr. Director of Corporate Development & Strategy overseeing the Diabetes Separation Management Office (DSMO). In this role, you will be accountable for providing insight into Minimed’s post-IPO separation program to the most senior leaders at both Minimed and Medtronic as well as resolving one-off issues to keep separation on schedule.
This role will entail a mix of core, global program management as well as strategic consulting projects to bridge gaps or issues that arise during the 2-year separation.
This is a unique role for an accountable and driven individual seeking early exposure to a General Management skillset in a highly regulated industry – no function, country/market, or capability is out of scope or beyond the purview of the Separation Management Office.
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.
- Track and evaluate the execution of TSA exit plans across 12+ functions and 10+ cross-functional teams
- Oversee and manage the operational aspects of the SMO program, serving as liaison between the DSMO leadership and various project teams
- Own discrete, short-term strategy engagements as an ‘accelerator’ or ‘fire-fighter’ for issues without ownership or with abnormal complexity
- Serve as a trusted advisor and shared resource across several critical SMO work streams including Legal Entity Operationalization, Commercial Distributor Operationalization, Contract Separation, Offer to Cash, and Commercial Business exit planning.
- Develop key materials used for internal SMO operating mechanisms, Joint Steer Co presentations, and Quarterly MMED Board of Director briefings
- Review status of projects and budgets; managing schedules and preparing status reports
- Hold teams accountable to their timelines and results, serving as the first line of inquisition and risk assessment
- Assesses TSA exit issues and partner across the MMED global business to find creative solutions to meet our timeline, cost, and patient goals
Minimum Requirements

- Bachelors Degree and 5+ years experience in program management.
- Experience and comfort with Smartsheets
- 3+ years in Management Consulting with material focus on large program mgmt.
- Mastery of Smartsheet and demonstrated comfort as an administrator
- Demonstrated experience in divestitures (spin-offs, preferred)
- Domain expertise or exposure in healthcare with working knowledge of regulatory dynamics and the commercial selling motion
- Executive presence and presentation capabilities
- Change management and/or corporate communications experience
- Bias for action and accountability
