Customer Service Representative (Swing shift)

Pet Vet Care Centers' Northside Emergency Pet Clinic is currently seeking a Customer Service Representative (Swing shift) to join their team.

Position Overview
  • Contribute to a high‑performing organization committed to delivering superior care and exceptional service.
  • Perform a range of administrative and customer service tasks, providing valuable support to the hospital.
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide excellent customer service in‑person, over the phone, and during high‑stress situations.
  • Manage lobby flow, address concerns, calm distressed owners, and schedule appointments.
  • Handle basic medical emergencies for pets and owners, ensuring safety and well‑being.
  • Assist with medication pickups, inquiries, and provide information about services and products.
  • Input and manage data in practice‑management software, including billing and accounts.
  • Assist with retail sales, weigh pets, process faxes, and maintain records.
  • Reconcile cash drawer and perform end‑of‑day duties for accurate financial transactions.
Qualifications (Required)
  • Experience in an animal hospital.
  • High school diploma or GED required, or equivalent combination of education, certification, training, and/or experience.
  • Knowledge of clerical procedures and ability to organize files and records.
  • Excellent customer service skills, providing courteous and prompt assistance.
  • Accurate cash handling and cashiering abilities.
  • Strong multitasking skills with attention to detail.
  • Flexibility in scheduling, including weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to work at a keyboard or workstation for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, climbing, and lifting animals up to 50 pounds.
Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)
  • Experience with customer service in high‑stress situations.
  • Ability to manage lobby flow and calm distressed owners.
  • Experience handling basic medical emergencies for pets and owners.
  • Familiarity with practice‑management software and billing.
  • Experience with retail sales and weighing pets.
  • Cash drawer reconciliation and end‑of‑day procedures.
Schedule
  • Monday‑Wednesday from 4 PM‑2 AM
  • Friday‑Sunday from 4 PM‑2 AM

Pay Range

$17.30 — $21.18 USD
