Designer, CAD​/ AutoCAD​/ Mechanical Design, Engineering Design & Technologists

Hunter Douglas seeks a Designer to create innovative, manufacturable window treatments and architectural shading solutions. You'll translate customer and dealer needs into detailed design concepts, materials, and specifications that balance aesthetics, performance, and cost. Partner closely with engineering, product, and manufacturing teams to refine designs for custom production, ensure quality and consistency, and support smart-home integration. Ideal candidates bring strong CAD skills, an eye for detail, and experience designing physical products in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Design custom window treatments and shading products that align with Hunter Douglas brand and performance standards
• Develop detailed CAD models, drawings, and specifications for manufacturability
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and product teams to refine and validate designs
• Select materials, finishes, and components that balance aesthetics, durability, and cost
• Support prototyping, testing, and iteration to ensure quality and fit in real-world applications
• Incorporate smart-home and motorization considerations into product designs when applicable
• Maintain accurate design documentation and revise based on feedback or production needs
• Partner with dealers and internal stakeholders to interpret customer requirements into feasible design solutions
