MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

* Candidates with endorsements in CLDE, Bilingual Ed, Foreign Language, and/or sheltered content or other English Language instructional training desired

* Be up to date on current learning theory and state of the art pedagogy in teaching

* Demonstrate effective interpersonal relationships with students, staff members, parents and administrators

* Has knowledge and experience of and/or willingness to gain knowledge of Competency-based Education approaches

* Must be able to read, write, and comprehend English

* Bilingual desired

* Experience and/or skills working with culturally diverse populations desired

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Provides coverage for teachers who are absent throughout Westminster Public Schools

* Plans for student differences.

* Applies principles of teaching/learning to provide for student achievement.

* Adjusts instruction to meet student needs.

* Communicates effectively with learners.

* Maximizes learning time for all students.

* Displays a fair and just manner for all students.

* Communicates an effective system for classroom discipline per Board Policy and building regulations.

* Plans effectively and purposefully for the use of time, materials, and resources.

* Creates a classroom environment that promotes instruction.

* Organizes students for effective instruction.

* Demonstrates effective interpersonal relationships with students, staff members and administrators.
