Job SummaryResponsible for supporting preschool classrooms of 16 students with lead, instructing small groups of preschool‑aged children, assisting with the implementation of curriculum, preparing materials for the classroom and performing other tasks as requested. Works closely with ECE Lead Instructor and special education team to serve the diverse needs of all students in an inclusive early childhood classroom.
Preferred Qualifications- Applicants with ECE 101 & 103 or equivalent preferred, ECE experience preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 3 months of full‑time or equivalent part‑time verifiable experience supervising and/or working with preschool/elementary students in areas such as summer camps, scouts, sports, or childcare.
- Must participate in career development/continued education as mandated by the State of Colorado.
- Criminal background check required for hire.
- Central Registry certification required at hire.
- Required to maintain current First Aid/CPR certification during course of employment in this position.
- Oral and written communication skills.
- Interpersonal relations skills.
- Basic knowledge of rules and regulations mandated by Colorado Department of Social Services.
- Ability to work with students with diverse backgrounds and abilities.
7.75 hours/day, 165 days per year. Starting salary is Grade 4 at $19.41–$21.38 per hour based on experience.
