Job Summary
The Electrical Trainer is responsible for the design, delivery, coordination, and evaluation of electrical training programs in one or more states (AZ, CO, IA, MT, WY currently). The role develops Loenbro’s craft workforce by delivering high‑quality training, coaching, and technical development to apprentices and field professionals. Bilingual proficiency in English and Latin American Spanish is preferred.
Responsibilities- Manage multiple levels of Loenbro's electrical apprentice training using the NCCER curriculum, including classroom instruction, scheduling, payroll coordination, material ordering, and record keeping.
- Deliver learning content in both English and Latin American Spanish.
- Provide job‑specific training such as NEC code updates, NFPA 70E, and other required electrical/safety instruction.
- Maintain a professional, supportive, and structured classroom environment.
- Conduct electrical assessments to identify knowledge gaps, training needs, and curriculum updates for incoming candidates.
- Coach and mentor employees helping them advance through their apprenticeship levels and career pathways.
- Develop and track key performance indicators to measure training effectiveness, skill progression, and credential attainment.
- Hold weekly one‑on‑one check‑ins with students and maintain training logs.
- Coordinate employee certifications and re‑certifications, ensuring timely completion and compliance.
- Follow and enforce all Loenbro safety policies and report unsafe conditions to leadership.
- Other duties may be assigned as needed to support business operations.
Required
- 5–7 years of experience as an Industrial or Commercial Electrician, preferably with experience leading crews.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, components, installation practices, and troubleshooting.
- Experience mentoring or training apprentices or field teams.
- High school diploma required; technical certifications, journeyman/master credentials, or NCCER qualifications.
- Bilingual fluency (English/Spanish) is required.
Preferred
- Foreman-level experience or above.
- NCCER Certified Instructor or willingness to obtain certification.
- Bilingual in English and Latin American Spanish (spoken and written).
- Previous experience managing or facilitating trade training programs.
- Indoor office setting with controlled temperature.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. regularly and perform physical activities such as standing, walking, and bending for extended periods.
- Potential visits to outdoor industrial sites with exposure to weather extremes.
- Potential exposure to noise, dust, chemicals, or other environmental factors.
- Travel requirements: up to 10% of time.
