Part‑time Director, Leadership Development – Colorado
Position is based in the Denver Metro Area and is available immediately.
What You’ll Do- Lead strategy and manage implementation for client projects, including but not limited to:
- Designing a theory of action and strategy for contracts and projects, in partnership with clients, and monitoring progress towards goals to ensure outcomes for contracts are met.
- Facilitating weekly goals‑based coaching aligned to program priorities and differentiated for individual leader needs and context.
- Aligning systems, resources, and structures to support evolving program and project strategies.
- Supporting innovation and development of new services through sharing and learning from best practices and collaborating across functions.
- Contributing to state‑level strategy and business development goals through proposal writing and generating ideas for new projects, partnerships, and relationships.
- Cultivate client relationships and build client capacity, including but not limited to:
- Cultivating and managing client relationships that foster trust through authentic engagement and ensuring client satisfaction with our work.
- Investing a strong network of external and internal stakeholders including clients and team in a clear strategy to meet team/project goals and client needs.
- Leading the customization and implementation of diagnostics that support clients in clarifying and identifying academic and strategic priorities.
- Facilitating and/or directly coaching district and school leaders to build capacity in areas aligned to priorities to support the sustainability of our work.
- Lead thriving and inclusive teams, including but not limited to:
- Effectively managing diverse teams, building inclusive team culture, and growing and developing staff to be successful in their work and career.
- Creating the conditions for and modeling innovation, creativity, and experimentation.
- Managing day‑to‑day work of project teams and/or colleagues towards contract and project goals.
- Actively shaping and modeling the behaviors that support TNTP’s culture and support efforts to achieve organizational priorities related to diversity and inclusion.
- Previous experience as a school principal and a proven track record of raising student achievement, preferably in high‑need schools or with high‑need populations (required).
- Experience coaching and facilitating professional development for school leaders and teachers (required).
- Immediate understanding of what effective teaching looks like and a deep commitment to effective and rigorous instruction.
- Strong familiarity and experience with the Colorado Standards (preferred).
- Ability to track and analyze performance data to uncover trends and act strategically and effectively to improve results.
- Ability to communicate compelling feedback that motivates leaders, develops instruction and accelerates student achievement.
- Comfort tackling sensitive issues and modeling crucial conversations.
- Outstanding interpersonal, communication and teamwork skills, including the ability to collaborate, and attain and grow effective partnerships to meet common goals.
- Bring a distinguished track record in school leadership. You have led schools that achieved great things for their students.
- Demonstrate expertise in facilitating powerful learning experiences for adults. You excel at designing and implementing professional development experiences and have the content expertise to create rich training materials, conceptualize meaningful interactive learning experiences, and facilitate training sessions for school leaders.
- Facilitate high‑quality presentations to diverse audiences. We’re counting on your strong public presentation skills and ability to provide thoughtful and compelling insights in settings small and large, formal and informal.
- Know great teaching and learning that prepares students for success in college and career when you see it. You understand the implications of the shifts in instruction required by standards for students, teachers, school leaders and district staff and how the different elements of the standards work together.
