Unqualified Science Teacher + Salaried Teacher Training

A fantastic school in Westminster is looking for an unqualified science teacher for a September 2026 start. This is a full‑time, permanent position paid through the school.

• Providing high quality lessons across the Science Department – KS3-4 basis
• Having a subject specialism where your personal strengths lie
• Raising attainment and the quality of learning
• September 2026 – Full Time – Term Time Only

• Paid position on the Unqualified Teacher (UQT) scale (most commonly UQ1)
• Employed directly by a school from day one
• Higher initial teaching load, typically around 15 periods per week
• Teaching load gradually increases to approximately 20 periods per week
• One dedicated training day per week
• Opportunity to gain QTS with PGCE (optional opt‑out available if required)
• Working at one school throughout – avoiding conflict in different teaching styles (in turn reducing stress on teacher)

• Must have a desirable degree from the above subjects from a reputable university
• Good A Levels & GCSEs across the board
• Must be confident within your ability and knowledge of both the GCSE & A Level curriculum
• Must be able to engage and motivate the students
