Butterfly Pavilion Animal Ambassador Internship
Butterfly Pavilion is currently seeking a creative, highly motivated and energetic individual to assist in both the education and animal care sides of outreach education, including invertebrate care and teaching educational programming at local schools. The primary goal of the internship is to provide students with knowledge and hands‑on training in environmental education and invertebrate animal husbandry.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in planning and delivering educational programs to local schools.
- Support invertebrate animal care and husbandry activities.
- Collaborate with a supervisor to develop a work plan and project outline after orientation.
- Create and present a term project to demonstrate learning outcomes.
The internship runs from August 11, 2026 to December 4, 2026. Interns must complete 180 hours over the course of the internship, typically following a schedule of 16–18 hours per week.
Interns must be available for orientation at Butterfly Pavilion in Westminster, Colorado on August 11, 2026, and for the presentation of the project on December 2, 2026.
