Join Amazon’s mission to become Earth’s safest place to work! You will serve as a dedicated Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) Manager, directly impacting associate well‑being while driving operational excellence.

• Act as the safety champion for the site and lead the Global WHS Program implementation.
• Combine hands‑on safety management with strategic thinking to protect people while supporting operational success.
• Conduct comprehensive risk assessments, analyze safety data, and implement practical solutions that protect associates and support productivity.
• Build relationships and influence positive change to shape a safety culture.
• Lead safety compliance efforts, conduct thorough site audits, and analyze incident trends to target improvements.
• Manage the first aid program and emergency response capabilities, ensuring immediate care is always available.
• Transform safety data into actionable insights and engage associates in the safety mission.

• Safety Leadership & Innovation – Transform safety culture through leadership and innovative solutions, drive continuous improvement, and leverage technology and data analytics to implement preventive measures.
• Strategic Partnership & Influence – Build partnerships with Operations leadership to integrate safety into all business aspects, influence positive change, and serve as a trusted advisor balancing safety and operational demands.

• Lift up to 49 pounds and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach.
• Stand/walk up to 12 hours during shifts.
• Work in an environment where noise level varies.
• Work in an environment that is subject to variable temperatures and weather (delivery stations include outside loading departments).
• Continuously climb and descend stairs (applies to sites with stairs).
• Maintain effective care delivery in emergencies and assist emergency response at the site.
• Must obtain an adult First Aid, CPR, AED certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross within 3 weeks of start date (if one does not already have it).

• Bachelor’s degree, or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience.
• 3+ years of increasing responsibilities in WHS and/or environmental programs in manufacturing, production, or service operations.
• 3+ years of increasing responsibilities in people and performance management, or 2+ years of Amazon Safety (blue badge/FTE) experience.
• Experience with in a distribution center, logistics, or manufacturing environment.
• Master’s degree or above.
• Experience in a fast‑paced, dynamic organization.
• Experience leading the development of department strategy.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities.
• Experience working in a fast‑paced, rapidly changing operations environment.
• Certified Safety Professional preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including comfort collaborating with site leaders.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, pivot tables, and the development of charts and graphics.
• Ability to manage multiple sites remotely.

Base salary range for this position varies by location. Your Amazon package will include sign‑on payments, restricted stock units, and benefits such as health insurance (medical, dental, vision, prescription, Basic Life and AD&D insurance, and optional supplemental life plans), Employee Assistance Program, mental health support, medical advice line, flexible spending accounts, and adoption and surrogacy reimbursement coverage. Additional benefits include 401(k) matching, paid time off, and parental leave.

Salary ranges by location:

• USA, CO, Sterling – $63,000.00 – $94,600.00 USD annually
• USA, KS, Garden City – $56,700.00 – $85,100.00 USD annually
• USA, MO, Brookfield – $63,000.00 – $94,600.00 USD annually
• USA, MO, Maryville – $63,000.00 – $94,600.00 USD annually
• USA, NE, North Platte – $63,000.00 – $94,600.00 USD annually
