Job Role s and Responsibilities
Scope and define electrical engineering requirements for manufacturing projects.
Evaluate existing electrical systems and determine power distribution requirements.
Design and size electrical systems, including conductors, wiring, electrical pathways, overcurrent protection, and short-circuit ratings.
Review and design industrial communication networks for equipment integration.
Review and support control systems for packaging and manufacturing lines.
Analyze equipment sequences of operation, sensor locations, and control logic.
Review electrical schematics, proposals, and layout drawings for specification and safety compliance.
Support equipment startup, commissioning, and production line implementation.
Conduct field audits and document existing electrical conditions.
Develop one-line diagrams, panel schedules, load calculations, and as-built engineering documents in accordance with NEC standards.
Provide engineering consultation and technical recommendations.
Assist with project scheduling and ensure projects remain on schedule and within budget.
Coordinate with vendors, contractors, clients, and internal project teams.
Prepare technical reports and engineering documentation.
Develop permit drawings for engineering submissions.
Read, interpret, and mark up manufacturing line drawings.
Ensure compliance with applicable electrical codes and safety standards.
Manage multiple engineering projects simultaneously.
Qualifications and CertificationsBachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
Minimum 5 years of electrical engineering experience in high-speed manufacturing, packaging systems, or industrial system design.
Experience in manufacturing environments; food and beverage industry experience preferred.
Experience in project engineering, maintenance management, or production engineering preferred.
Proficiency with AutoCAD.
Working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC).
Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Project.
Experience preparing permit drawings for regulatory approvals.
Knowledge of industrial control systems and networking.
RSLogix programming experience is an advantage.
Strong technical writing and documentation skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Excellent organizational, analytical, and time management abilities.
Ability to manage multiple projects with minimal supervision.
Ability to interpret manufacturing and electrical drawings.
Willingness to travel to project sites as required.
