Build and maintain strong client relationships by exceeding expectations through collaboration, responsiveness, and problem-solving
Serve as a primary client contact, providing regular project updates, addressing concerns, and coordinating with stakeholders
Prepare project proposals, including scope, schedules, and fee estimates
Lead the execution of site civil projects, overseeing technical design, permitting, approvals, financial performance, and client coordination
Ensure compliance with local jurisdictional requirements, entitlement processes, and permitting regulations
Develop detailed project plans and monitor progress, schedules, and budgets to meet profitability goals
Assign and manage workloads, schedules, and priorities for project teams
Ensure department and individual QA/QC standards are followed consistently
Mentor and lead staff to promote efficiency, quality, and professional growth
Assist the Department Manager with the implementation and improvement of processes, procedures, and operational practices
Advise the Department Manager on project-related operational and management matters
Support business development efforts by maintaining existing client relationships and pursuing new opportunities through industry involvement, meetings, and events
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in site civil engineering and project management
Professional Engineer (PE) license in Colorado Advanced proficiency in Civil 3D, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office Demonstrated design experience in site planning, layout, grading, storm drainage, stormwater management, utilities, erosion control, and landscaping
Strong understanding of entitlement processes and local permitting requirements
Proven experience managing projects, budgets, and multidisciplinary teams
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
Strong engineering judgment, analytical skills, and attention to detail
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to represent the organization externally
Self-motivated, proactive, and solutions-oriented leadership style
