Job Description & How to Apply Below
Position: Senior Wire Harness Design Engineer I

We are seeking a Senior Wire Harness Design Engineer I to join a fast‑paced engineering team developing advanced hardware for satellites, spacecraft, airborne platforms, and other aerospace applications.

This role focuses on designing the critical power, digital, analog, and RF interconnects that transform individual components into fully integrated systems. You will take ownership of wire harness designs from concept through production, including schematic development, cable routing, connector selection, and harness assembly documentation.

Working closely with electrical, mechanical, and manufacturing teams, you will support the complete development lifecycle, from initial requirements and architecture through integration, testing, and deployment. You will also participate in technical design reviews, helping to improve system performance, reliability, and manufacturability.

Key Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant industry or research experience.
  • Experience with wire harness design tools such as Rapid Harness or similar.
  • Strong understanding of wire routing, controlled impedance, cable shielding, grounding, and EMC/EMI considerations.
  • Ability to analyze and validate harness designs to ensure compliance with industry standards, safety requirements, and performance objectives.
  • Familiarity with standards such as IPC-WHMA-A-620 and ISO 9001.
  • Hands‑on experience using lab equipment including oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and electronic loads.
  • Strong attention to detail and experience producing accurate design documentation and technical specifications.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Aerospace industry experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience designing hardware for spaceflight or harsh environments.
  • Hands‑on wire harness assembly experience.
  • Experience supporting integration, testing, and qualification of aerospace systems.

This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who enjoys owning designs from concept to implementation while working in a highly collaborative, hands‑on environment developing next‑generation aerospace systems.
