Who We Are

Liqid is doing for AI infrastructure what VMware did for x86 servers, bringing the agility of the cloud to the on-prem datacenter to dynamically allocate and share GPUs, memory, and other resources. This functionality is critical in running AI and advanced-data workloads in production (a.k.a. Inference). Liqid Matrix software enables global organizations to accelerate the adoption of AI, HPC and VDI by unlocking the bottleneck of GPU utilization and availability through dynamic pooling and sharing of AI resources for higher performance with less total cost, less power, and less hardware.

About

the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Engineering Technician with deep expertise in electronic manufacturing, system integration, advanced troubleshooting, and reliability engineering. In this senior role, you will support engineering development, drive technical excellence across manufacturing processes, and serve as a key technical resource for both internal teams and contract manufacturers.

You will work hands on with complex assemblies, high density PCBs, and cutting‑edge AI hardware, ensuring Liqid products meet the highest standards of performance, reliability, and quality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Advanced Build & Assembly
  • Lead the assembly of complex electronic systems and high‑density PCB builds.
  • Perform expert‑level SMT and through‑hole soldering, rework, and fine‑pitch component handling.
  • Build and validate cable harnesses, power assemblies, and system‑level interconnects.
  • Establish and refine assembly best practices, quality checkpoints, and workmanship standards.

  • Develop automated or semi‑automated test setups to increase coverage and efficiency.
  • Failure Analysis & Root Cause
  • Lead component‑level and system‑level failure analysis using structured methodologies.
  • Identify root causes across electrical, mechanical, thermal, and manufacturing domains.
  • Partner with design engineering to propose corrective actions and design improvements.
  • Produce detailed FA reports with clear findings, data, and recommended actions.
  • Reliability Engineering Support
  • Design, execute, and refine reliability test plans including HALT, HASS, ESS, and accelerated life testing.
  • Involved and responsible for electrical and mechanical certification testing.
  • Monitor test parameters, collect high‑quality data, and analyze trends to identify early reliability risks.
  • Recommend design or process changes to improve long‑term product robustness.
  • Maintain reliability documentation, test procedures, and data archives.
Contract Manufacturer & Production Support
  • Serve as a senior technical liaison for contract manufacturers, ensuring build quality and process adherence.
  • Troubleshoot complex production issues and guide CMs through corrective actions.
  • Review manufacturing data, yields, and test results to identify systemic issues.
  • Support NPI builds and transfer‑to‑production activities.
Regulatory & Documentation Support
  • Contribute to regulatory documentation and technical evidence packages.
  • Ensure builds, tests, and reliability data align with regulatory expectations.
  • Maintain detailed engineering documentation, test records, and configuration control.
What You Bring
  • 10+ years of experience in electronic manufacturing, engineering support, or system integration.
  • Expert‑level SMT and through‑hole soldering, including rework of fine‑pitch and high‑density components.
  • Strong proficiency with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, power analyzers, and advanced diagnostic tools.
  • Deep experience with component‑level troubleshooting and structured failure analysis.
  • Ability to interpret complex schematics, PCB layouts, and engineering documentation
  • Experience supporting NPI, reliability testing, and manufacturing process improvements.
