- Work with Engineering staff to support the Transmission Control Center
- Support tools, programs, and databases used for outage coordination, powerflow studies, power system monitoring, and real-time issue resolution
- Support simple power flow studies for planned transmission outages
- Conduct transmission line loading reviews
- Support restoration planning
- Work as an entry-level engineer supporting the team
- Collaborate with groups across the transmission business unit
- Current student, Junior or higher
- Enrolled in an accredited college or university and pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering
- Able to work full-time during the summer (up to 40 hours a week)
- Able to work part time during the school year (16 hours a week)
- Able to commute to the designated work location in-person, per the hybrid work policy
- Interest in the energy industry and the future of energy
Demonstrates foundational knowledge in Electrical Engineering with a focus on power systems, outage coordination, and transmission line loading. Capable of collaborating effectively within a team to support real-time issue resolution and restoration planning.
