Controller Responsibilities

• Lead all day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, financial reporting, month-end close, treasury, fixed assets, and account reconciliations
• Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
• Develop and maintain strong internal controls and accounting policies
• Partner with executive leadership to provide financial insights that support strategic decision-making
• Oversee the preparation of audited financial statements and coordinate with external auditors
• Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and evolving reporting requirements
• Drive process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance efficiency and scalability
• Build, mentor, and develop a growing accounting team
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial planning initiatives
• Support corporate transactions, organizational restructuring activities, and other strategic projects as needed
• Lead implementation and optimization of accounting systems and reporting tools
• Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, legal, HR, and executive leadership

Controller Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• CPA strongly preferred
• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Combination of public accounting and industry experience preferred
• Proven leadership experience managing and developing accounting teams
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting requirements
• Experience leading audits and working directly with external auditors
• Demonstrated success improving accounting processes and controls within a growing organization
• Advanced ERP and financial systems experience
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
