We are excited to hire a CFO/Treasurer to join our team at York County Government. The core responsibilities in this position are to lead the County’s complex financial operations, enhance transparency, and ensure long-term fiscal stability. This position is responsible for guiding the strategic direction of the Finance Department and fostering high-performing, customer-oriented operations. The CFO/Treasurer plays a critical role in developing and advising the County Manager and elected officials on financial strategies, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations, and fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

As a key member of the County’s leadership team, serves as a trusted advisor to the County Manager, County Council, Budget Committee, boards and commissions, and staff on the County’s short- and long-term financial needs. The CFO/Treasurer ensures alignment with the County’s strategic goals and strengthens its position as a forward-thinking organization by guiding intricate financial and operational matters. This position ensures efficient and effective management of fiscal activities, including accounting operations, auditing, budgeting, cash management, investment management, collections, long-range forecasting and financial planning, internal controls, and current/delinquent tax collection functions.
