The Police Accreditation and Policy Coordinator position is temporary, benefitted role that is responsible for overseeing the national and state accreditation processes for the Police Department, leading the maintenance and ongoing review of operational policies and procedures to ensure compliance with state and national legislation and standards, and coordinating all assessment activities. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in law enforcement accreditation, outstanding organizational and project management skills, and the ability to clearly communicate and build productive working relationships.

Education, Experience, Skills, Formal Training, Licenses, and Certifications
Required:
- High School diploma or equivalency
- Minimum of three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in law enforcement or a public safety agency
- Minimum of one (1) year of direct experience in accreditation, policy management, or compliance administration (CALEA or similar standards) utilizing tools such as Power
DMS, Lexipol, or similar - Demonstrated experience in policy development, compliance tracking, and audit preparation
- Strong written and verbal communication
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Public Administration, Business Administration, Organizational Leadership, or a related field
- CALEA Accreditation Manager Certification and/or CALEA Site-Based Assessor Certification
- Experience serving as the primary agency liaison during a successful accreditation or reaccreditation cycle
- Experience developing and delivering agency-wide training
- Any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience, which would provide the required knowledge and skills, may be considered
