The Gaming Enforcement unit provides crime investigations, identifies and interviews suspects, collects evidence, interviews witnesses, and evaluates criminal activity in Colorado casinos.
- Actively patrolling Colorado casinos.
- Conducting regulatory investigations regarding statutes, rules and internal controls.

Supervisory Investigator at a Division field office is a critical leadership role with daily responsibilities in enforcement, compliance, and investigations. The candidate will serve as a supervisor responsible for field operations, scheduling, caseload assignment, performance planning, evaluations, and disciplinary actions. Acting authority includes serving as Acting Agent in Charge in the absence of the Agent in Charge, while also performing armed patrols as a peace officer.
Responsibilities- Supervise and lead daily operations of field enforcement staff, assign caseloads, conduct performance reviews, and ensure adequate staffing coverage during casino hours.
- Plan and execute complex criminal investigations, interview witnesses, interrogate suspects, prepare affidavits for warrants, and testify in court.
- Proactively patrol casino floors as an armed peace officer to preserve peace, deter cheating and theft, and respond to disputes.
- Lead comprehensive compliance inspections to ensure licensees, patrons, premises, records, and devices meet Colorado regulations and internal control procedures.
- Issue criminal summonses, effect arrests, transport prisoners to jail, and execute warrants while collecting and preserving evidence.
- Assist local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies as requested to ensure safety, maintaining an off‑duty on‑call status for emergencies.
- Prepare detailed written reports for prosecution and initiate disciplinary action recommendations to the Colorado Limited Gaming Control Commission.
- Deliver training and professional presentations to the industry, agencies, and the public, while maintaining required certifications.
- Ten (10) years of relevant investigative experience in criminal and regulatory investigations, including at least one year at a level of work leader, staff authority, or unit supervisor.
- Active Colorado P.O.S.T. certification in good standing and free of restrictions, suspensions, or revocations.
Alternate qualification path:
- Combination of related education in business administration, public administration, criminology, criminal justice, criminalistics, political science, police science, law, psychology, sociology, and/or relevant experience equal to ten (10) years with one year as a work leader or supervisor.
