RoleSummary
Vantor is seeking a Director of Dev Ops & Infrastructure to lead modernization, standardization, and operational reliability of the platforms powering our mission systems and customer deployments.
Key Responsibilities- Own Dev Ops, Cloud Infrastructure, SRE, Release Engineering, and Platform Operations across commercial, sovereign, and customer-managed environments.
- Define Vantor's long-term platform engineering strategy, balancing centralized shared services with embedded domain support teams.
- Lead and scale cloud and on-prem deployment platforms while building engineering rigor, automation, and accountability.
- Work directly with VP of Mission Platforms & Infrastructure and cross-functional teams.
- 10+ years of experience in Dev Ops, platform engineering, infrastructure engineering, or cloud operations.
- 5+ years leading engineering teams or technical organizations.
- Experience designing and operating Kubernetes-based cloud or hybrid infrastructure platforms.
- Strong background in AWS, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, automation, and deployment orchestration.
- Experience architecting both cloud and on-prem deployment environments.
- Proven success modernizing fragmented Dev Ops or platform engineering ecosystems.
- Strong understanding of distributed systems, operational resiliency, observability, and release engineering.
- U.S. Citizenship required.
- Experience supporting defense, aerospace, intelligence, or mission-critical operational systems.
- Experience with sovereign cloud, disconnected operations, or customer-managed deployments.
- Experience implementing AI-assisted Dev Ops, AIOps, or autonomous operational tooling.
- Experience defining centralized vs distributed platform engineering operating models.
- Familiarity with geospatial intelligence, satellite operations, or mission planning systems.
- Background from organizations such as Palantir, defense primes, or cloud-native platform companies.
- Familiarity with Zero Trust and modern Dev Sec Ops practices.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

Vantor is building the infrastructure backbone for the next generation of spatial intelligence systems. This role will directly shape how mission-critical software platforms are deployed, secured, automated, and operated across global commercial and defense missions.
You will help create the operational foundation that enables autonomous systems, AI-powered mission planning, sovereign intelligence platforms, and real-time global situational awareness.
The future platform must operate anywhere: commercial cloud, sovereign national environments, at the tactical edge, in disconnected and classified deployments, and across distributed global operations.
Ideal Candidate Backgrounds- Platform engineering or Dev Ops leadership at cloud-native or mission-critical technology companies.
- Defense, aerospace, geospatial, or high-reliability operational environments.
- Experience scaling Kubernetes-based infrastructure and deployment ecosystems.
- Strong operational leadership combined with hands-on architectural credibility.
- Experience modernizing fragmented CI/CD and infrastructure environments.
- Denver metro area preferred.
- In-office collaboration expected 3-5 days per week.
- U.S. Citizenship required.
- Clearance eligibility preferred.
Starting pay for this role will fall within the listed range and will be based on factors such as experience, qualifications, skills, location, and market conditions.
Base pay for this position within Colorado is: $ - $ - $ annually.
For all other states, we use geographic cost of labor as an input to develop market-driven ranges for our roles, and as such, each location where we hire may have a different range.
