The Business Applications Analyst serves as the primary administrator and support resource for Maiker Housing Partners' business applications portfolio. This role is responsible for the administration, configuration, maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization of Yardi Voyager and other enterprise software platforms utilized throughout the organization.
The Business Applications Analyst works closely with operational departments, vendors, and IT staff to ensure business systems function effectively, data remains accurate, and software investments deliver maximum value. The ideal candidate combines strong Yardi expertise with application administration, SQL query writing, and business process analysis skills.
This position acts as a bridge between business operations and technology, helping identify opportunities for automation, process improvement, and system optimization.
- Serve as primary systems administrator for Yardi Voyager and related Yardi products.
- Manage system configuration, security roles, permissions, workflows, and module setup.
- Troubleshoot system issues and coordinate resolution with Yardi Support.
- Support upgrades, patches, enhancements, and new module implementations.
- Develop, maintain and validate SQL queries for data extracts.
- Manage user access and security reviews.
- Monitor system performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Maintain system documentation and configuration records.
- Support property operations, accounting, development, asset management, and Housing Choice Voucher business functions utilizing Yardi.
- Evaluate new Yardi functionality and make recommendations regarding adoption.
- Serve as administrator and support resource for assigned enterprise applications.
- Troubleshoot software issues across multiple business systems.
- Manage software configurations, user roles, permissions, and licensing.
- Coordinate with vendors and software providers regarding support requests and system enhancements.
- Participate in software evaluations, implementations, and system integrations.
- Maintain application inventories and system documentation.
- Assist departments in identifying software solutions to improve business processes.
- Support application lifecycle management from implementation through retirement.
- Analyze system processes and identify opportunities for efficiency improvements.
- Recommend workflow automation and system enhancements.
- Gather and document system requirements.
- Participate in project planning, testing, and implementation activities.
- Assist with change management and deployment efforts.
- Support organizational technology initiatives and strategic projects.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of software solutions and recommend improvements.
- Manage and coordinate support cases with software vendors.
- Assist with software renewals, upgrades, and contract reviews.
- Monitor vendor support responsiveness and issue resolution.
- Escalate critical issues and track remediation efforts.
- Participate in vendor meetings and product roadmap discussions.
- Support organizational technology initiatives as assigned.
- Assist with compliance, audit, and documentation requests related to software systems.
- Participate in cross-functional projects and technology improvement efforts.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Education & Experience Required- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum three years of Yardi Voyager administration or advanced user experience.
- Experience with affordable housing, multifamily housing, public housing, real estate, or property management operations.
- Experience administering business applications in a SaaS environment.
- Experience writing and troubleshooting SQL queries.
- Experience supporting software implementations, upgrades, and integrations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Associate's or bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business, Computer Science, Accounting, or a related field.
- Experience with supporting Yardi’s financial functions.
- Experience with Rent Cafe, Vendor Cafe, Procure to Pay, Elevate, and related Yardi products.
- Experience with Business Intelligence data feeds.
- Experience with Microsoft Power Platform solutions.
- Experience with API integrations and data migration projects.
