Position Title: Senior Manager of Learning & Development for Woodhouse

Department: Operations

Reports To: Vice President of Operations

Location: Lakewood, CO or Remote

Travel: Travel required (up to 20%)

FLSA Status: Full-time, Salary Exempt

About Woodhouse: Woodhouse Spas is a wholly owned subsidiary of Radiance Holdings, LLC. Woodhouse believes that true renewal leads to a more joyful life, and we are looking for a Senior Manager of Learning & Development who supports the Woodhouse Mission through various initiatives. The Senior Manager of Learning & Development is responsible for planning, developing and implementing Woodhouse’s learning & development programs – all to align with the company’s annual objectives and strategy.

This person will collaborate with various departments to assess learning needs and effectiveness of current & future L&D programs, and partner with other members of the Operations team to ensure effective pull-through and success at the spa level.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with the operations team to identify training needs for spa-level team members, focusing on hard and soft skill improvement and professional development to drive results for franchisees and Woodhouse
  • Plan and develop content and learning strategies based on identified scope, KPIs and other success factors
  • Build relationships with key stakeholders across functions to ensure that the L&D deliverables are aligned with company-wide and business-specific needs, and that materials cover all necessary focus areas to ensure successful pull-through
  • Partner with instructional designer(s) to deliver the right amount of content in the appropriate structure to facilitate thorough yet timely understanding of materials; prioritize thorough understanding / comprehension of fewer, more impactful concepts vs. surface-level delivery of too many materials at once
  • Partner with Training Manager(s) to ensure hands‑on, in‑field trainings are appropriately designed and facilitated, and partner with Communications Manager to maintain a clean, relevant LMS / comms platform
  • Act as an operational subject‑matter expert when partnering with instructional designers and L&D vendors to direct and curate content for training programs
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of the learning management system in order to create engaging content/learning methodologies that lead to greater training completion and operational excellence
  • Assist as needed with facilitating and overseeing instructor‑led training programs like New Franchise Training and live educational webinars
  • Track and evaluate training program effectiveness to improve and enhance the learning experience for all
  • Oversee Training Manager(s) and contract instructional designer(s) to execute development and delivery of programs
  • Other duties and projects as assigned by supervisor and department heads
Qualifications
  • Knowledge of effective learning & development methods
  • Familiarity with Learning Management Systems, MS Office and picture/video editing software like Snagit or Camtasia
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to build rapport, identify needs and present those across functions
  • Excellent project management skills. Attention to detail and follow-through critical
  • Ability to manage complexities of a given project to identify & create scalable solutions
  • Excellent oral communication, presentation, writing and editing skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills; ability to influence laterally and vertically
  • Ability to work collaboratively with business leaders, colleagues, and peers to deliver business results
  • Solid problem‑solving and critical thinking skills
  • Strong knowledge of retail store operations, processes and procedures
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in instructor‑led training, L&D content development and/or instructional design
  • Ability to travel nationally to analyze efficacy of training programs up to 20% of the time
Compensation

The salary range for this role is $85,000 - $100,000 annually and is commensurate with experience. This is a salary exempt position meaning it’s not eligible for overtime compensation. This position is eligible for a discretionary bonus based on company and individual performance. All bonuses are subject to board approval.
