Description:

Protingent Staffing has an exciting contract opportunity located in Broomfield, CO.

• Install, inspect, test, adjust, and repair avionics equipment and systems while performing equipment setup and maintenance activities
• Use precision measurement tools to fabricate fixtures for use, including non-flight parts with standard alloys and simple geometry, and perform precision cleaning and chemistry processes
• Adhere to general best shop practices, including PPE and shop safety requirements, demonstrate correct packaging and handling requirements for all hardware
• Apply 5S, FOD, and ESD awareness in your daily tasks, collaborate with team members to ensure high-quality workmanship and adherence to project timelines, and document and report any issues or discrepancies found during inspections and tests

• Typically 5+ years of related experience
• Familiarity with general best shop practices including PPE and shop safety requirements
• Ability to perform basic equipment setup and maintenance activities and display general mechanical aptitude and hand tool competency
• Able to use precision measurement tools and fabricate fixtures for use, including non-flight parts with standard alloys and simple geometry
• Ability to learn and perform precision cleaning and chemistry processes
• Ability to learn 5S, FOD, and ESD awareness
• Ability to demonstrate correct packaging and handling requirements for all hardware

• Formal training, degree, or certification in avionics, electronics, or a related technical field
• Certification:
  Airman's certificate, FCC license, or IPC level certification
• Experience with avionics systems and equipment, including but not limited to navigation, communication, and flight control systems
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams
• Familiarity with avionics testing equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and signal generators
• Knowledge of software tools for diagnostics and troubleshooting of avionics systems
• Understanding of RF (Radio Frequency) principles and their application in avionics systems
• Experience with soldering and crimping techniques for avionics wiring and connectors
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Pay Rate Range: $25-32/hr.

Due to government contract requirements, this position is restricted to U.S. Citizens or GC Holder.
