Armed Security Officer – Full Time – Denver, CO

Wage: $23.53/HR

• Sat - Wed: 6:30AM - 2:30PM, 2:30PM - 10:30PM
• Fri - Mon: 7AM - 5PM, 9AM - 5:30PM

Securitas Security is looking for armed security professionals to join our team in providing overall safety and security services to our clients. Our armed program includes advanced firearms training, personal defense strategies, de-escalation, and use of force. We issue all necessary equipment, including a company-issued firearm and ammunition. We are looking for individuals who have prior law enforcement, military, or armed experience to join our team!

• Patrol assigned site on foot or in a vehicle; check for unsafe conditions, hazards, unlocked doors, security violations, blocked entrances and exits, mechanical problems, and unauthorized persons
• Work directly with law enforcement, government staffing, and the community
• Write detailed incident reports on unauthorized entries, suspicious activity, emergency situations, and any other observed issues
• Security screen all persons coming through the public entrance to ensure prohibited items are not entering facilities
• Monitor surveillance cameras

• 21 years of age or older
• High School Diploma, GED, or ability to complete the GED within 6 months
• Standard computer/technology skills; ability to utilize a tablet, computer, or smartphone
• Must be able to interact with a wide range of customers in a calm and professional manner
• Great attention to detail and ability to remain alert during the shift
• Ability to respond to emergencies with rapid/effective judgment and appropriate escalation
• Willing to participate in the Company’s pre-employment screening process, including drug screen and background investigation
• 2 years armed experience
• LEO or Military experience preferred
• Must meet state, county, and municipal licensing and permit requirements for Security Officers
• Must pass pre-hire testing assignment and shooting qualification
• Must have a reliable personal vehicle
• Must have the legal right to work in the United States
• Must be able to speak, read, and write English
• Must provide a reliable phone number where the officer can be reached at all times
• Must be reliable, accountable, punctual, and have a strong work ethic
• Conflict resolution and de-escalation skills are a plus
• Must be able to conduct patrols throughout shift
• Must be comfortable conducting access control duties
• Physical and mental requirements may include seeing, hearing, speaking, and writing clearly
• Occasional reaching with hands and arms, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling
• Frequent sitting, standing, and walking; may involve climbing stairs and uneven terrain
• Additional physical requirements may include lifting up to 10 pounds frequently and up to 25 pounds occasionally
