Join a dynamic team implementing and providing security guidance to our Tactical Solutions Business Sector campus located in Westminster, CO. As a Security Specialist I, you will work with the DoW Security and Industrial Security teams, site leadership and both internal and external customers to support a variety of fascinating programs. This role provides onsite support for the site’s collateral security program.
The Operations Security Unit delivers critical assurance disciplines that protect and enable people, data and missions. We provide a comprehensive approach to managing risk across the enterprise for current and future information environments where the business and missions execute. We apply the use of innovative tools and robust processes to ensure mission and business success.
What You’ll Do:- Exercise discretion and independent judgement in performing the following tasks:
- Interpret government and internal company policies, develop and implement security plans and procedures utilizing the new 32 CFR Part 117 National Industrial Security Operating Manual (NISPOM), Security Manuals as well as any other specific programmatic instruction manuals.
- Conduct security briefings and provide security guidance to company personnel.
- Conduct inquiries and interviews of non‑compliance matters and issues relating to security violation.
- Complete appropriate documentation according to company and government directives.
- Coordinate personnel security actions with Personnel Security team and FSO.
- Manage classified inventory including shipping, receiving, auditing, and contract close‑outs.
- Oversee operation of accredited Open Storage Areas, Accredited Areas and Containers including combination changes, and providing employee open/close training.
- Assist with facility construction and continued accreditation requirements.
- Assist with security reviews such as formal self‑inspections, customer inspections and Staff Assistance Visits.
- Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Capabilities Units and the Company. Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
- Perform other duties as necessary.
Work is performed in an office environment, laboratory, cleanroom, or production floor.
On‑Site Work Environment:
This position requires regular in‑person engagement by working on‑site five days each normally scheduled week in the primary work location. Travel and local commute between company campuses and other possible non‑company locations may be required.

Additional Qualifications / Responsibilities Required Education, Experience, & Skills- Degree:
Bachelor’s degree (Master’s Degree or Ph.D. may substitute for two years of experience). Related technical experience may be considered in lieu of education. Degree must be from a U.S. accredited institution. - Working knowledge of contracts, subcontractor and consultants.
- Experience with Microsoft Office products;
