Position: MATERIAL HANDLER JOB SITE

Description

Compensation for this role: $21.00 to $25.00 per hour

Specific Responsibilities
  • Sweep the job site
  • Take out trash from the job site
  • Move material upon request with an all-terrain forklift
  • Prepare the job site for work the next day
  • Ensure the job site is clean and clear of clutter
  • Operate a forklift, broom, shovel, wheelbarrow etc. as necessary for clean-up purposes
  • Other duties as may be assigned
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Knowledge of:
  • Safety and Safe working practices
  • Tools required to keep the job site clean, broom, shovel, trash can, wheelbarrow, dust pan, etc.
Skill in:
  • Safety and working safely
  • Working with little supervision
  • Customer service
  • Effective written and oral communication sufficient to be able to elicit and communicate information and achieve understanding
  • Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with customers, vendors, consultants, management, and employees
  • Organizing work to accomplish tasks
Ability to:
  • Use and operate a Forklift
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Driving

  • Lifting, floor to chest (up to 50lbs)
  • Lifting, floor to waist (up to 50lbs)
  • Lifting, waist to overhead (up to 30lbs each arm)

  • Trimming (final installation of electrical devices)
  • Pushing (up to 100lbs)
  • Pulling (up to 100lbs)
REQUIREMENTS:

Experience sufficient to demonstrate stability in a job along with a clean background check is required. Strong work ethic and communication skills are also required.
