Main Purpose of JobSupport internal and external partnerships while improving customer outcomes. This involves providing administrative support to leadership staff for planning, implementing, and documenting community meetings as well as providing administrative support to the Services division. The role requires possessing and maintaining broad knowledge of the department’s programs, procedures, functions, and policies to ensure a high level of customer service. This includes attending community events to provide agency information, greeting and supporting customers, identifying opportunities for community engagement, and staying familiar with community resources and partners.
This position requires strong organization, creativity, and excellent communication and collaboration skills, as well as an understanding of finance regulations for event planning.
- Provide administrative support to Child Welfare and Adult Services Staff.
- Serve as a community ambassador.
- Support the Common Customer Initiative and Enhanced Service Delivery throughout the Agency.
- Four years of professional or technical experience in the administration of a human services program or experience with conducting studies and analyses of programs, procedures, practices and organizations.
- Possession of a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university is a substitute for the required experience.
- U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a commissioned officer in Administrative Officer classifications or Administrative Officer specialty codes in the General, Administrative, Clerical, and Office Services job field of work on a year-for-year basis may substitute for the required experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- One year of experience with Google Workspace.
- One year of experience in customer service.
- One year of experience providing administrative or clerical support.
- One year of experience in Family Investment Administration or Social Services Administration.

Examination ProcessThe examination will consist of a rating of your education, training, and experience as presented on your application and as they relate to the requirements of the position. You may be asked to complete a supplemental questionnaire. The supplemental questionnaire may be used as part of the rating process. For education obtained outside the U.S., a copy of the equivalent American education as determined by a foreign credential evaluation service is required prior to hire.
