Temporary Part-Time Administrative Assistant – Philanthropy Support

LHH is partnering with an organization in Westminster, MD seeking a temporary Part-Time Administrative Assistant to provide essential support to the Philanthropy team.

Location: Westminster, MD

Schedule: Monday–Thursday | 3–4 hours per day

Preferred

Hours:

8:00 AM–12:00 PM or 12:00 PM–4:00 PM

Start: ASAP through December

Position Type: Temporary, Part-Time

Pay: $21-$24 per hour

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who takes pride in their work, is highly organized, and understands the importance of trust, integrity, confidentiality, and accuracy when handling sensitive information and charitable contributions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Check and manage philanthropy mailboxes daily.

  • Receive, process, and record charitable donations.

  • Handle and safeguard checks and cash contributions with a high level of integrity and attention to detail.

  • Scan checks and prepare deposit documentation.

  • Collect donations and ensure gifts are accurately recorded.

  • Complete established forms and templates and provide required documentation to donors.

  • Prepare and send donor acknowledgement and thank-you correspondence.

  • Provide general administrative and office support to the Philanthropy team.

  • Utilize Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel for day-to-day tasks.

  • Operate standard office equipment, including computers, copiers, scanners, and related equipment.

  • Maintain confidentiality when working with donor, financial, and organizational information.

  • Work collaboratively with the Philanthropy team and follow established procedures.

  • Reliable and consistent in completing daily responsibilities.

  • Highly organized and detail-oriented.

  • Comfortable working independently while also being part of a team.

  • Professional and comfortable communicating with donors and colleagues.

  • Experienced with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel

  • Comfortable with general administrative and office support responsibilities.

  • Able to maintain strict confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.

  • Willing to learn established processes and procedures quickly.

Schedule & Duration
  • Monday–Thursday

  • Approximately 3–4 hours per day
    , depending on workload

  • Preferred schedule:

  • 8:00 AM–12:00 PM
    , or

  • 12:00 PM–4:00 PM

  • Temporary assignment through December

  • Immediate availability preferred
