How This Role Contributes To The Y’s Mission
As a Y Teen Adventure Camp Counselor, you will supervise and ensure the safety of campers while creating a fun, supportive, and engaging camp environment. You will assist in planning and leading curriculum-based activities and participate alongside campers to deliver a high-quality experience. You will help maintain daily camp operations, support specialty programs, and model the Y’s core values in all interactions.
Through your enthusiasm and leadership, you will contribute to a positive summer experience that promotes growth, confidence, and lasting memories.
- Passion for working with children and creating a fun, safe, and inclusive environment
- Strong communication and teamwork skills to engage campers, families, and staff
- Ability to lead and participate in daily activities while maintaining structure and safety
- Reliability, flexibility, and willingness to support overall camp operations and programming
