Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to lead mechanical construction projects, including HVAC and plumbing systems for new construction and light commercial work, from preconstruction through closeout. The Project Manager owns the schedule, budget, quality, and safety of assigned projects and is the central point of coordination between field crews, foremen, general contractors, vendors, inspectors, and ownership. This is a high-impact leadership role for someone who can keep projects on time, on budget, and built to standard.

Key Responsibilities

Manage assigned mechanical construction projects end-to-end: preconstruction, buyout, execution, and closeout.

Develop, maintain, and drive project schedules; identify and resolve conflicts before they impact the timeline.

Own project budgets, tracking costs, labor, materials, and equipment against estimates and reporting variances to leadership.

Review plans, specifications, and submittals; coordinate RFIs, change orders, and submittals with the GC and design team.

Coordinate manpower and material needs with Plumbing and HVAC Foremen and field leadership.

Procure equipment and materials and manage vendor and subcontractor relationships.

Enforce all OSHA, national, and local safety standards across every jobsite.

Conduct and document project meetings, daily and weekly reports, and progress updates.

Manage quality control and ensure all work meets code, specification, and company standards ahead of inspection.

Support accurate, timely billing, change-order tracking, and project financial reporting.

Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, general contractors, inspectors, and trade partners.

Required Qualifications

5+ years of construction project management experience, preferably in mechanical (HVAC and/or plumbing), new construction, or commercial trades.

Demonstrated ability to manage project schedules and budgets.

Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and schematics.

Working knowledge of mechanical/plumbing systems, building codes, and the inspection process.

Proficiency with project management and scheduling software and standard office/field technology.

Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Valid Maryland driver's license with a clean driving record.

Ability to commute to and travel between project sites in the Mid-Atlantic region.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience managing mechanical (HVAC/plumbing) new construction projects specifically.

Familiarity with Maryland and Mid-Atlantic permitting and inspection requirements.

PMP, OSHA 30, LEED, or relevant trade/technical credentials.

Estimating and/or preconstruction experience.

Prior field experience in a mechanical trade.

Benefits & Perks

401(k) with company match; health, dental, and vision insurance; life insurance; health savings account; employee assistance program; paid time off and holidays; paid professional development and advancement opportunities; performance-based incentives.

Schedule

Full-time, Monday to Friday. Occasional overtime, evenings, or weekends as project demands require. Year-round work.

Work Location

In person, Westminster, MD 21157, with travel to active project sites.

The responsibilities outlined above are representative but not exhaustive. Additional tasks may be assigned as required by management to meet operational needs.
