JOB SUMMARY
Carroll Community College is actively seeking adjunct faculty to provide instruction to students in the field of Hybrid and Electrical Vehicle repair and maintenance. The primary focus of this instruction is to prepare students for ASE certification by instructing on safety concepts while demonstrating skills and knowledge related to Engine Performance and Hybrid and Electrical Vehicles.
Job RequirementsMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS TO PERFORM WORK:
- The ideal candidate for this position should possess a minimum of 5 years of industry experience and be familiar with ASE certifications A8 and L3. Additionally, strong communication, presentation, and critical thinking skills are essential. While teaching experience is preferred, candidates with relevant industry certifications will also be considered. College campus, direct contact with students, staff, faculty and the general public in classrooms, common areas, offices and campus environments. Work environment involves everyday risks or discomforts which require normal safety precautions typical of such places as office, meeting, and training rooms. Use of safe workplace practices with office equipment; computers for data entry and word processing with some highly technical applications and new technology systems;
avoidance of trips and falls; observance of fire and building safety regulations and College policies.

To qualify for employment, selected candidates must
- successfully complete a criminal background check (for designated positions)
- be able to work on campus as of the first day of employment
- be a resident of MD, PA, VA, WV, or DC as of the first day of employment
- be currently authorized to work in the US, as the College does not offer Visa sponsor ships
