, is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic full-time Middle School English Language Arts (ELA) Teacher. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging English Language Arts instruction for students in grades 6-8. The ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all students is essential. The teacher should also be knowledgeable about integrating technology into classroom lessons.
Functions
- Provide grade appropriate instructional program for students that adheres to the school's philosophy, goals, and objectives.
- Maintains an attractive, organized, and engaging learning environment.
- Develop lesson plans with clear objectives in line with the Archdiocese of Baltimore and State of MD Standards.
- Maintains accurate and complete records of students' progress and development.
- Provides regular and consistent communication with parents, students, staff, and administration.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding students, their families, and other employees outside the school.
- Perform additional duties when needed for the supervision of students before, during, or after school.
- Participates in faculty meeting, school committees, and in-service learning opportunities.
- Maintain high professional standards consistent with the mission of the school and the teaching of the Catholic Church.
- Responsible for the safety and active supervision of students at all times, and for classroom management using PBIS (positive behavior intervention and support) protocols.
- Works collaboratively with other teachers, staff, and administration.
- Attend school events including Back to School Nights, Open Houses, Parent/Teacher conference days, and other events as requested by the administration.
- Bachelor's degree and current MSDE certification or willing to obtain.
- Successful experience in student teaching or classroom teaching.
- Basic understanding and acceptance of Catholic school philosophy, goals, and objectives.
- Must be proficient in using a variety of technology during daily lessons as well as to enrich and differentiate instruction.
Pay Range: $48,000 – $52,000, Annualized
