Percussion Music Teacher

Music & Arts is seeking a passionate Percussion Music Teacher to provide high-quality private and group lessons in our retail store. In this role, you'll teach students of all ages and skill levels, focusing on proper technique, music reading, and performance preparation while fostering a love of percussion. You will create lesson plans, track student progress, and communicate regularly with parents and guardians.

Working in a collaborative, student-focused environment, you'll partner with store staff to support recitals, events, and new student enrollments while promoting instruments, accessories, and educational materials.

Responsibilities

• Provide private and group percussion lessons to students of varying ages and skill levels
• Develop individualized lesson plans and learning goals aligned with student needs
• Teach technique, rhythm, notation, and performance skills across percussion instruments
• Assess and document student progress, providing feedback to students and parents
• Prepare students for recitals, auditions, and school or ensemble performances
• Collaborate with store staff to support events, recitals, and student recruitment
• Promote instruments, accessories, and educational materials that support learning
• Maintain a safe, inclusive, and engaging lesson environment
• Manage lesson schedules and attendance within store systems
• Uphold Music & Arts policies and represent the brand professionally
