Woodwinds Music Teacher

Music & Arts is seeking a Woodwinds Music Teacher to provide high quality private and small group instruction in our retail store. The teacher will create engaging lesson plans for woodwind instruments (such as flute, clarinet, and saxophone), assess student progress, and prepare students for recitals, auditions, and school performances. This role collaborates with store staff and school service representatives to support student enrollment and retention, communicate with parents, and promote our lesson programs while maintaining a positive, inclusive, and student focused learning environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide private and small-group woodwind lessons in-store
• Develop and adapt lesson plans for varying skill levels and ages
• Assess student progress and provide regular feedback
• Prepare students for recitals, auditions, and school performances
• Maintain accurate scheduling and attendance records
• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians
• Support lesson enrollment and student retention efforts
• Collaborate with store staff and school service representatives
• Promote a positive, inclusive, student-focused environment
• Ensure proper care and basic maintenance of teaching instruments
