Orchestral Strings Music Teacher

Music & Arts seeks an Orchestral Strings Music Teacher to provide high quality private and group lessons in our retail store. In this role, you'll teach violin, viola, cello, or bass to students of all ages and skill levels, using a structured curriculum that builds technique, reading, and musicality. You will prepare students for recitals, auditions, and school ensembles, while collaborating with store staff to support rentals, accessories, and events.

We're looking for a passionate educator and performer who communicates clearly with parents, maintains accurate schedules, and contributes to a welcoming, inclusive studio environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide private and group orchestral strings lessons to students of varying ages and levels
• Develop and follow structured lesson plans and curricula aligned with student goals
• Teach fundamental and advanced technique, music reading, and ensemble skills
• Prepare students for recitals, auditions, and school or community performances
• Communicate progress and goals regularly with students and parents
• Maintain accurate lesson schedules, attendance, and student records
• Collaborate with store staff to support rentals, accessories, and in store events
• Create an inclusive, safe, and motivating learning environment
• Recommend appropriate instruments, method books, and accessories
• Participate in studio recitals and promotional or community outreach events
