M Force Partners is seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Process Engineer – Battery Systems to join a growing engineering team in Westminster, MD. This Manufacturing Process Engineer – Battery Systems will support the development, implementation, optimization, and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes for advanced battery products. Working closely with Battery Design Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Operations, Facilities, and Maintenance, this role plays a critical part in ensuring manufacturing processes are safe, efficient, cost-effective, and capable of producing high-quality products.

Key Responsibilities- Support Battery Design Engineering and Operations with manufacturing and process engineering activities
- Evaluate new and existing manufacturing processes to improve manufacturability, efficiency, quality, and production performance
- Develop and maintain process documentation, work instructions, standard operating procedures, and manufacturing support tools
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on increasing productivity, improving quality, reducing costs, and maximizing production output
- Train and support production personnel on manufacturing processes and standardized work procedures
- Collaborate with Facilities and Maintenance teams to identify and implement equipment upgrades and process improvements
- Troubleshoot manufacturing processes, equipment, and production issues while documenting corrective actions
- Conduct Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) investigations to resolve recurring manufacturing and process issues
- Partner with Battery Design and Mechanical Engineering teams to transition new products from development into production
- Evaluate product designs and provide recommendations to improve manufacturability
- Monitor manufacturing KPIs and analyze production data to identify process improvement opportunities
- Apply engineering analysis, computational modeling, prototyping, and testing to improve manufacturing performance
- Support the implementation of process controls, automation, and equipment improvements
- Participate in cross-functional engineering and continuous improvement projects
- Perform additional engineering duties as assigned
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline
- 3–5 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, process engineering, or a related industrial environment
- Experience supporting manufacturing processes, production operations, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Experience troubleshooting manufacturing equipment and production processes
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to work effectively in a hands-on manufacturing environment
- Experience with Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) methodologies
- Experience applying Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles
- Six Sigma Certification
- Experience with PLC programming or industrial automation systems
- Experience with CAD modeling software
- Experience supporting new product introduction (NPI)
- Experience working in battery manufacturing, electronics manufacturing, or other advanced manufacturing environments
- Ability to work onsite in Westminster, MD
- Ability to work throughout manufacturing and production areas as needed
- Ability to support multiple engineering projects while meeting deadlines
- Ability to collaborate effectively with Engineering, Operations, Maintenance, and Manufacturing teams
