As part of the Department of the Comptroller, you will take ownership of the grant fund for the County. Working under the direction of the Investment Manager, your expertise in accounting and reporting will ensure grant fund financial statements are prepared in a timely and accurate manner. You will manage the overall financial activities of the grant fund within our organization;
the leadership you provide will support the accounting team and the grant administrators to ensure work meets established deadlines and standards while complying with all laws and regulations. You will use your specialized knowledge to analyze financial data and prepare financial statements and reports.
- Oversee the accounting and financial reporting for all grant-funded projects and funds.
- Work with County agencies to monitor the grant award, budget, and reimbursement requests. Recommend adjustments and close-out of the grant when complete.
- Adhere to schedule of reporting for all grant funded programs. Monitor progress of grant objectives and activities. Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
- Prepare financial statements, supporting schedules, and footnotes for the Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR), Schedule of Expenditures of Federal Awards (SEFA), Single Audit, Uniform Financial Report (UFR), and Credit Rating.
- Analyze and reconcile grant revenues, expenditures, and reimbursements.
- Compile complex data to create reports, spreadsheets, surveys, and other complex documents.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of accounting practices and complete required continuing education training.
- Ensure all work is complete and timely to achieve department goals. Integrate feedback and study procedures to improve efficiency and quality.

Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in accounting
- Three or more years of related experience
- A comparable amount of education and experience may be substituted for the minimum requirement.
- May be required to work outside of standard hours.
