Medical Technologist & Lab Technician
Schedule – Shift –
Hours:
Part-time – Evening shift – 4:30 pm – 1:00 am.
Under general supervision, performs clinical laboratory tests to obtain data for use in diagnosis and treatment of disease, according to established standards and practices. Thorough knowledge of theory, principle, and practice of medical laboratory techniques. Skill in using, calibrating, and basic maintenance of standard equipment used in medical laboratory practice.
Requirements- Other formal working knowledge; equivalent to an Associate’s degree (2 years college); requires knowledge of specialized field.
- Preferred:
High School Diploma. - Less than 1 year:
Interpersonal communication skills, both written and oral required in order to effectively interact with hospital personnel and outside contacts. - MLS – Certified Medical Lab Scientist.
- ASCP MLT – Medical Lab Technician.
- MLT – Certified Medical Lab Technician.
Required to pass certification exam within 1 year of hire. MLT (ASCP or AMT) or MT (ASCP or AMT) or MLS (ASCP).
ScheduleEvery Monday and Wednesday 4:30 PM-1:00 AM and every other weekend 4:00 PM-1:00 AM.
